Italian Wine world restarts from Verona and Opera Wine, the most exclusive event in the world of wine business.
This year there is the celebration of the 10th year since the first edition and Tommasi Family Estates has always been invited to represent the best of Italian wine production, a combination of emotion, culture and craftsmanship.
In this edition of the 10th anniversary, which brings together 186 producers from all over Italy, we are presenting two of our excellences:
Veneto: De Buris Amarone della Valpolicella Classico doc Riserva 2009
Basilicata: Paternoster Don Anselmo Aglianico del Vulture doc 2015
From the collaboration of Veronafiere and Vinitaly with the prestigious American magazine Wine Spectator, in 2012 was born
OperaWine, Finest Italian Wines: 100 Great Producers selected by Wine Spectator.
OperaWine offers international wine professionals the opportunity to taste and get to know the best Italian wines presented by Italy’s 100 greatest producers according to Wine Spectator.
Each year, the judges taste the selected Italian wines and provide reviews and scores based on different criteria.
After the assessment, the list of the top 100 Italian wines is revealed, promoting Italian wine diversity and high quality.
Opera Wine represents the return in the presence of a market occasion and the face-to-face rite of wine tastings: We have missed this so much!
Here below the two great scores we received from Wine Spectator
De Buris Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Riserva 2009 – 94 /100
“A beautifully aromatic red, with hints of truffle, loamy earth and dried mint playing on the nose and accenting the baked cherry and raspberry fruit, fig cake and coffee liqueur flavors on the palate. Full-bodied and rich, yet finely knit and elegant overall, with mouthwatering acidity married to the range of flavor. The silky tannins create a pleasing viscosity on the lingering finish.”
Paternoster Don Anselmo Aglianico del Vulture Doc 2015 – 92/100
“Creamy tannins firm this suave, medium- to full-bodied red, while lightly juicy acidity and a tang of tarry smoke mesh with flavors of wild cherry, fennel seed and tobacco. Offers a long, fragrant finish.”
