Contemporary art, wine and the local area come together in a new event organised by Stazione Moros, the cultural project by Masseria Surani that transforms the winery into a space open to dialogue between different forms of expression, people and experiences.
GUAGNANO, Lecce – The Stazione Moros cultural association continues its programme of cultural promotion with “Dissolvenze”, a solo exhibition by Venetian artist Kico Mion, opening on Friday, 3 July in the spaces of Cantina Moros.
The initiative confirms Masseria Surani’s commitment to experiencing the winery not only as a place of wine production, but also as a space for encounters, hospitality and cultural experimentation. Masseria Surani is the Tommasi Family’s project in Puglia. In the heart of the Salice Salentino DOC area, Cantina Moros welcomes artists, writers and creative professionals who, through different forms of expression, offer new ways of telling the story of the region and its identity.
“We are honoured to welcome Kico Mion to Cantina Moros,” says Alessandra Quarta. “His works, characterised by a strong material quality and an essential abstract language, explore themes of memory, transformation and the relationship between people, landscape and architecture. His artistic research has a natural affinity with the world of wine. Just as every wine is born from the encounter between place, time and matter, Mion’s works also take shape through layers, gestures and surfaces that express a process rather than simply an image. Colour evokes the earth, light guides perception and matter preserves the traces of time.”
Within the spaces of Cantina Moros, where wine matures slowly and the memory of the place forms part of the experience, the artist’s work finds a setting capable of amplifying its meaning, creating an authentic dialogue between contemporary art, architecture and wine culture.
The opening evening on Friday, 3 July will begin with a performance by the artist, accompanied by the sounds of a handpan crafted and played by Teo Tedesco. Afterwards, guests will be free to visit the exhibition, meet the artist and experience the winery spaces accompanied by a musical selection curated by Paki Zennaro.
During the event, guests will be able to taste Masseria Surani wines, with a particular focus on Moros Salice Salentino DOC labels, together with a selection of other Masseria Surani wines and local traditional products. A special discount will also be available throughout the evening on purchases made directly at the winery.
With “Dissolvenze”, Stazione Moros continues to develop a programme of events connecting wine, art and the local area, reaffirming Cantina Moros as a place open to culture and shared experiences, where every visit becomes an opportunity for discovery.
