This important accolade is based on a full year of Tripadvisor reviews, before any changes caused by the pandemic.
Award winners are known for consistently receiving great feedback from travelers, placing them in the top 10% of hospitality businesses worldwide.

The Travelers' Choice Award rewards popular choices, but also truly exceptional ones, which ensure travelers return to where they have already stayed.

We are very proud of the award that rewards our deep commitment to offer excellence.

"Winners of the 2020 Travelers’ Choice Awards should be proud of this distinguished recognition,” said Kanika Soni, Chief Commercial Officer at Tripadvisor. “Although it’s been a challenging year for travel and hospitality, we want to celebrate our partners' achievements. Award winners are beloved for their exceptional service and quality. Not only are these winners well deserving, they are also a great source of inspiration for travelers/diners as the world begins to venture out again

Hospitality is an important part of Tommasi Family Estates project, it has always been essential to combine catering with wine, as a support for the enhancement of the territory and the product.

The Nineties of the last century are marked by a return to origins, when in the twenties and thirties, Giacomo, founder of the company, took over two taverns in Verona and Parona.

The Tommasi family return to hospitality by combining well-being with food and wine culture. They bought Villa Quaranta in Pescantina, in the Valpolicella area, today no longer just a hotel, but also a congress center and a beautiful SPA. The idea is to make the wines known, not only to Italians, but also to foreigners from all over the world, in a high-level place.

A few years later another ambitious project awaits them: reopening the ancient Caffè Dante, the living room of Verona.
In February 2008 the dream came true and the Tommasi family revived the local historian. Today Caffè Dante Bistrot offers traditional cuisine accompanied by an important Italian wine list.
Next to Caffè Dante Bistrot, the Mazzanti Hotel, a historic mansion, adjacent to Piazza delle Erbe, with elegant rooms in a structure in line with the art and culture of the historic center of Verona, a friendly staff that is attentive to your needs.

Promotion of the territory which also applies to the Tuscan Maremma, the Poggio al Tufo estate welcomes an eight-room farmhouse obtained from a historic farmhouse, renovated respecting the local architecture and materials, it welcomes guests and wine lovers in the middle of the vineyards.

«We are very honored to receive this coveted award, which rewards the foresight of an investment made by our parents in 1992. - Michela Tommasi states - Since then, our family has worked to spread knowledge and appreciation of the unique territories of Verona and the Valpolicella Classica, here in Italy, and throughout the world. We speak of  beauty and the intrinsic values, not only through wine production, but also by expanding the touchpoints to hospitality, which has always been in our DNA. Today, Tommasi represents Italian excellence with award winning wines present in more than 70 countries around the world. Today, we are particularly proud to have had this opportunity to also shine in the international spotlight for our wine hospitality business»
villa quaranta best wine tourism award
The prize confirms the innovation and excellence of wine tourism at Villa Quaranta Tommasi Wine Hotel & SPA worldwide within the project of the Great Wine Capitals, the network created between ten capital cities of world wine excellence ( from Bilbao to Adelaide, passing through Bordeaux, Napa Valley, Chile and Argentina), and to Italy, represented by Verona.
The competition rewards those establishments that stand out for the excellence of their wine tourism-related services within various categories. The judges evaluate cultural, artistic and architectural aspects, sustainable practices in the tourism sector, as well as the overall quality of the accommodations and catering.
«A few months ago we were nominated the regional winner in Verona in the hospitality category, and went on to compete for the International award among the other 9 regional winners nominated from other cities. - continues the director Luca Carrara - A heartfelt thanks goes to the whole Tommasi family for the continuous courage to invest in improvements to the products and services at Villa Quaranta, which allows us to compete with the best of global wine tourism and win. Needless to say, all the investments in the world would be useless without a first class staff. I am proud to say that I manage a great group of competent professionals, passionate about what they do here every day.»

«The welcome of a family, the services of a fine hotel, the eclecticism of a complex that has grown and evolved over the years, as well as the teamwork exemplified by the commitment of the staff -  says Barbara Tommasi - have resulted in a high-quality process of development of which we are very proud. Hospitality is a fundamental and strategic part of the overall vision of Tommasi Family Estates. Not only wine, but also a sum of the experiences and emotions that are connected to it. From the shared enjoyment of dining together, to the wellness and meeting opportunities: all of these are available in a unique and exclusive venue that will satisfy the demands of any consumer.»
In all of Tommasi’s locations that provide hospitality, from Villa Quaranta to the Mazzanti Hotel in the center of Verona and the nearby Caffè Dante Bistrot, as well as the Poggio al Tufo Agriturismo in the Maremma area of Tuscany – and, last but not least, at the historic Winery at Pedemonte, which has now been completely refurbished – one can enjoy unique experiences in absolutely authentic settings.
Each of them bear the identity of a family that has transmitted the values of craftsmanship and quality for four generations.

Best of Wine Tourism 2020: Premiata la ricettività della famiglia Tommasi.

2020 Best of Wine Tourism awards: a prize for the Tommasi family’s accommodation. This prestigious accolade goes to the Villa Quaranta Wine Hotel & SPA, which will now compete for the Global Award.

Villa Quaranta Wine Hotel & SPA, the Tommasi family’s historic country house on the outskirts of the Valpolicella Classica zone, has won the 2020 Best of Wine Tourism award for the accommodation offering the best hospitality in its area. This prize has been bestowed by the International Competition devoted to excellence in wine tourism around the world.

The award is conferred by the Verona Chamber of Commerce and is part of the joint project of the Great Wine Capitals, the network created between ten cities that represent excellence in wine production worldwide (from Bilbao to Adelaide, and including Bordeaux, the Napa Valley, Chile and Argentina), in which Verona is Italy’s representative.

The competition rewards those establishments that stand out thanks to the quality of their wine tourism-related services within various categories, which range from the cultural, artistic and architectural spheres to that of sustainable practices in the tourist sector, as well as those of accommodation and catering.

«The welcome of a family, the services of a fine hotel, the eclecticism of a complex that has grown and evolved over the years, as well as the teamwork exemplified by all of the staff – under the direction of Luca Carrara – have resulted in a high-quality process of development of which we are very proud» state Michela and Barbara Tommasi, who are in charge of Villa Quaranta. «Hospitality is a fundamental and strategic part of the overall picture of Tommasi Family Estates. Not only wine, but also all the experiences and emotions that are connected with it, from the shared enjoyment of dining together to the wellness and meeting opportunities: all of these are available in a unique and exclusive venue that will satisfy the demands of any consumer who chooses our brand. In all of Tommasi’s locations that provide hospitality, from Villa Quaranta to the Mazzanti Hotel in the center of Verona and the nearby Caffè Dante Bistrot, as well as the Poggio al Tufo agriturismo in the Maremma district of Tuscany – and, last but not least, at the historic Winery at Pedemonte, which has now been completely refurbished – one can enjoy unique experiences in absolutely authentic places. These are also strongly characterized by the identity of a family that has transmitted the values of craftsmanship and quality for four generations. After the appreciation we have had from our clients, we are now receiving more formal accolades and we can challenge the world’s most prestigious wine capitals on level terms. The Best of Wine Tourism Award confirms the success of the path we have undertaken and gives us great motivation for our other projects, including the upcoming restoration of Villa De Buris».

Villa Quaranta is a complex that combines history and modernity: 79 rooms in a unique style, a 17th century manor that contains the Ristorante Borgo Antico, a centuries-old park for outdoor activities, and a little Romanesque church for intimate celebrations. Modernity pulses in the eclectic spaces of the Conference Center, an impressive venue for any type of event of up to 450 people. Gourmets can enjoy a full immersion in the world of wine and food: a list of more than 1300 wines (given a 2-Glass rating by the prestigious American magazine “Wine Spectator” for five consecutive years) accompanies our gastronomic offerings, which are often inspired by the wines themselves. Choosing a tasting in the Bottega del Gusto or in the Cantina in Villa is an unforgettable cultural and sensory experience. Wine therapy, with revitalizing, anti-aging treatments based on Valpolicella and Amarone wines, is the pride of the Terme della Valpolicella beauty farm: 2500 square meters divided up between spa and fitness areas, 5 indoor and 1 outdoor swimming pools filled with spring water, and a medical center (served by eminent specialists) to take full advantage of the anti-inflammatory and skin healing properties of the salt-, bromide- and iodine-rich water.

Villa Quaranta is an integral part of the Tommasi family’s corporate strategy, which seeks to promote the outstanding features of the terroir of Valpolicella Classica. This area derives its great richness and beauty from its wine, its vine-clad hills, and its natural attractions: a series of factors which – with vivacity and enthusiasm – the Tommasi family highlights in every experience in which wine plays a part, and in wine tourism and hospitality in particular.

Donne in Simposio

DONNE IN SIMPOSIO.

Personalità, carattere, forza, unicità, alchimia definiscono i vini.
Così come nelle donne.
